The two-storey building was originally built in 1846 and was the dwelling house of Mr Archibald of Archibald Mills, the then-owner of Tillicoultry Woollen Mill. The association with Textiles and textile manufacture has persisted to this day. 

Daiglen supports both domestic and international markets, offering a touch of Scotland with its range of traditional hand-made kilts The Pride of Scotland collection complements and adds to the offering, including various Highlandwear jacket styles, highlandwear accessories, and Scottish giftware.
